Job summary

Guy Fieri's Dive Bar & Taco Joint in Kansas City is seeking a part-time Cook to join the BOH team. You will prepare and cook orders, control food usage, and help with inventory while maintaining sanitation and a clean work area.

The role requires at least one year of kitchen experience, basic cooking knowledge, and flexibility for nights, weekends, or holidays. Culinary certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• At least one year of cooking on a fast-paced kitchen line and food preparation experience.
• Culinary certification training preferred.
• Basic cooking knowledge, following recipes, portion control and presentation.
• Reading and writing abilities used when preparing meals and scheduling.
• Math skills including basic math, percentages and quantities.
• Alcohol awareness certification and/or food service permit or health/food handler card may be required.
• May be required to work nights, weekends and/or holidays.

Responsibilities

• Control food usage to minimize waste.
• Prepare and cook orders for daily operations in a timely manner.
• Advise supervisor of low inventory items; assist in receiving and inventory.
• Restock items as needed through the shift.
• Maintain sanitation and cleanliness standards meeting health requirements.
• Keep a clean, organized work area including reach-ins and counters.
• Report unsafe or malfunctioning equipment to supervisor.
• May assist as ware washer or other kitchen duties as needed.
• Promote teamwork and quality service with other departments; interact with guests when needed.
• Perform more than one task at a time.
