Job summary

Ponca City Development Authority is seeking a Line Cook to prepare menu items per guest specifications in a fast-paced kitchen.

The position requires a high school diploma or GED, willingness to work weekends/evenings/holidays, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs. A background and drug screen are required to obtain a gaming license per Kaw Nation Gaming Commission.

Collaborate with prep cooks and wait staff to ensure safe, high-quality plates and maintain a clean workstation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; background and drug screening for gaming license.
• Flexibility to work any shift; including weekends, evenings, and holidays is required.
• Frequent lifting (up to 50 lbs) and standing; ability to work under pressure and communicate effectively with staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare menu items according to established recipes and ensure proper plate presentation.
• Demonstrate expertise in culinary techniques, safe food handling, and workplace safety procedures.
• Follow all opening and closing procedures; maintain a clean, stocked workstation.
• Operate kitchen equipment correctly and report malfunctions to management.
• Work as part of a team in a hot, fast-paced environment; multitask and communicate effectively.
• Follow written and verbal instructions with attention to detail.
