Job summary

Sherman Associates in Minneapolis is hiring a full-time Line Cook to join the Canopy by Hilton team in the Mill District. You will prep and direct preparation of menu items, follow sanitation and safety standards, and collaborate with the kitchen and front-of-house to ensure a positive guest experience.

Required 1–3 years of cook experience, ability to work evenings/weekends, and strong communication in a multilingual environment.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of cook experience required
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Ability to communicate effectively and follow directions in a multi-lingual environment

Responsibilities

• Reviews menus prior to preparation of food
• Prepares all menu items according to Chef specifications
• Ensures all food procedures are followed
• Learns and executes new menu items and features
• Communicates with Front of House to ensure guest satisfaction
• Maintains sanitation and FIFO methods
• Maintains quality and timeliness of food preparation
• Portions items according to menu and diets
• Stocks kitchen and inventories weekly
• Cleans and maintains kitchen equipment and station
