Job summary

Civitas Senior Living is seeking a dedicated Cook to create nourishing, visually appealing meals for residents in a warm community setting. You will follow established recipes, maintain food safety records, and collaborate with a kitchen team to deliver quality dining experiences.

In this on-site role, you’ll monitor inventory, assist with organization, and contribute to a culture of care, creativity, and continuous learning while upholding Civitas standards and policies.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Cook or Chef in a restaurant or similar setting.

Responsibilities

• Prepare assigned meals following established recipes and gastronomic standards; plating and presentation.
• Maintain temperature charts and food safety records; sanitation protocols and quality control.
• Notify the Chef of inventory needs and participate in kitchen operations.
• Uphold Civitas standards in personal grooming and kitchen hygiene.
• Assist in organizing the kitchen, food storage, dish room, and other culinary areas; foster collaboration and innovation.
• Ensure a first-in, first-out food rotation system; verify dating and organization for freshness.
• Assist Chef Manager/F&B Director to grow kitchen efficiency and staff training.
• Follow all sanitation, food handling protocols, safety policies, and regulatory requirements.
