Job summary

Caesars Entertainment seeks an entry-level kitchen teammate in Reno to support food preparation, line setup, and plate presentation. You will follow sanitation guidelines, handle food items, and work within a team to ensure quality and safety.

Responsibilities include following recipes, maintaining temperature logs, and communicating with coworkers and supervisors. A background check is required during onboarding, with potential pre-employment drug testing as applicable.

Qualifications

• Excellent customer service, communication, and observation skills.
• Basic knowledge of the preparation of vegetables and fruits, meats, poultry and game, reconstituted foods, stocks, soups and sauces, fish and shellfish, egg and dairy products, farinaceous foods and cereals, in all applicable culinary methods.
• Working knowledge of broil, roast, sauté, fry, poach, steam and baking techniques.
• Ability to sort, write and count in English.
• High School diploma or equivalent (SUPERVISOR AND BELOW).

Responsibilities

• Follow sanitation safety procedures and daily sanitation guidelines.
• Utilize proper hand washing techniques.
• Maintain temperature log; cook to and hold time; includes hot and cold items.
• Must work as a team member and communicate with coworkers and supervisors.
• Identify food products and assist with line positions, plating, and presentation.
