Job summary

Oakwood Smokehouse in Leesburg, FL is seeking a dedicated Line Cook to join our fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare and cook menu items per recipes, set up stations, and ensure freshness and quality during busy service periods.

Responsibilities include maintaining a clean, organized workspace in compliance with safety standards, collaborating with teammates to meet ticket times, and assisting with prep and closing duties as needed. This is a full-time, on-site role.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as line cook or similar back-of-house role.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques, food preparation, grilling, frying, and safe food handling practices.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and plating standards with attention to detail and consistency.
• Strong time management skills and ability to work efficiently during peak hours in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Commitment to cleanliness, sanitation, and safety, including proper use of kitchen equipment and tools.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude and willingness to support other staff members.
• Physical ability to stand for extended periods, lift and carry supplies, and work in a high-heat environment.
• Availability to work a full-time schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• High school diploma or equivalent is preferred; formal culinary training is a plus but not required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to standardized recipes, portions, and presentation guidelines.
• Set up and stock stations, verify product freshness.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area in line with food safety regulations.
