Job summary

Row 34 Cambridge is hiring a Line Cook to join our busy kitchen, supporting the preparation, cooking, and presentation of dishes to our high standards.

You will work in a fast-paced environment, handle various kitchen tasks, follow recipes, monitor temperatures, and collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure guest satisfaction. We offer a starting pay of $22–$24/hour plus health, dental, vision, disability insurance, an MBTA pass program, and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Proficient in preparing menu items consistently to recipes and customer requests.
• Able to work flexible shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Experience safely using a variety of kitchen tools, including sharp knives.
• Capable of multitasking effectively under pressure in a busy kitchen.
• Comfortable working in tight spaces with fluctuating temperatures and noise levels.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand long periods.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items per recipes and standards.
• Adhere to portion control and food prep standards to ensure consistency and manage costs.
• Monitor food temperatures and use thermometers to ensure proper cooking and storage temperatures.
• Report issues with food quality or delays to kitchen coordinator or chef.
• Keep inventory levels for menu items and alert management to low stock.
• Ensure all dishes meet restaurant quality expectations.
• Follow procedures for handling food allergies and dietary restrictions.
