Maman is seeking a dedicated Line Cook in New York City to prepare high-quality menu items in a fast-paced kitchen. You will ensure consistency, efficiency, and food safety while supporting the full BOH and FOH teams to deliver an exceptional guest experience with precise preparation and presentation of all maman menu items.

The ideal candidate has experience in a bakery or café setting, a strong sense of urgency, and a passion for food and customer service.

Qualifications

• Previous line cook, prep cook, or kitchen experience.
• Knowledge of basic cooking techniques and kitchen safety protocols.
• Ability to follow recipes, portion guidelines, and operational procedures.
• Strong time management and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
• A strong sense of urgency is essential.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items in accordance with maman’s recipe, portioning, and service standards.
• Assist with daily prep, including chopping, measuring, and assembling ingredients.
• Operate kitchen equipment such as ovens, grills, mixers, and slicers in a safe and efficient manner.
• Monitor food levels and restock stations as needed throughout service.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient workstation.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards and complete line checks to maintain compliance.
