Who We Are

Stella represents an expression of artistry across the mediums of cuisine, art, and design. Italian for ‘star’, Stella is inspired by the traditions of the traveling hearth of the coastal and pastoral communities of Southern, Central, and Northern Italy, enriched with local California, seasonal ingredients.

A creative collaboration between restaurateur Janet Zuccarini and Executive Chef Rob Gentile, Stella brings modern twists on age-old Italian culinary traditions to West Hollywood.

The Role
  • Prepare food to order as specified by the Chef and guest, following recipes accurately as outlined by the Chef.
  • Coordinate timing of dish completion with other cooks.
  • Accommodate special requests and dietary restrictions as directed by the Chef.
  • Own your station — ensure all mise en place needed for service is ready for use.
  • Prior to service, prep dish elements such as stocks and garnishes, including chopping vegetables and butchery.
  • Ensure tools such as knives and pans are in place.
  • Follow prep lists consistently according to company guidelines, label products accurately, and manage storage using FIFO.
  • Perform duties in accordance with OSHA standards, including sanitizing work stations, regular hand washing, and station disinfection.
  • Mark and date all stored food.
  • Ensure dishes are prepared to accurate temperature.
  • Clean up station, dispose of waste, and participate in composting programs.
  • Sweep, mop, and clean all surfaces on station.
  • Store or dispose of unused items properly.
Who You Are

The ideal candidate has a strong hospitality leadership background, prioritizes guest and team member experiences, and is both people and process-driven. Preference will be given to those with:

  • Similar restaurant service experience
  • Proficiency in full-service restaurant functions
  • Strong communication skills
  • Strategic and innovative thinking
  • Valid California RBS and ServSafe Food Handler Certifications
  • Valid First Aid & OSHA Management Training (asset)
  • Passionate, positive, approachable attitude
