Job summary

Rib-and-Chop-House is seeking an experienced Line Cook to join our high-volume steak house kitchen. You will follow established production procedures to prepare perfect plates, coordinating with meal service hours to maintain excellence in temperature, appearance, and quality.

You will label and store ingredients to minimize waste, while keeping the station clean and stocked throughout each shift. We value a team-oriented, problem-solving attitude and guest-focused service.

Qualifications

  • Must be able to lift and carry 35 lbs.
  • 8–10 hour shifts required.
  • Experience is preferred but not required.
  • Be of legal working age.

Responsibilities

  • Prepares or directs preparation of food using established procedures.
  • Correctly prepare all food following standard recipes and diet orders.
  • Plan production to coordinate with meal serving hours to preserve quality, temperature and appearance.
  • Portion and plate food for serving.
  • Follow proper food handling techniques.
  • Label, date, and store ingredients to maintain freshness and reduce waste.
  • Maintain daily production records.
  • Comply with sanitation standards and personal hygiene.
  • Report equipment repair needs to supervisor.
  • Keep work area clean, organized, and stocked throughout shift.

Job description

You will be an expert in the art of culinary production. You will become a master of efficiency, and precise in execution. You will know the specs and deliver plates that look and taste exactly as they should in the time frame that is expected.

  • Must be able to lift & carry 35 lbs. Unassisted
  • Have the ability to move around 80-90% per shift
  • Must be able to perform work for 8-10 hours per shift
  • Operate & handle small tools
A Line Cook will:
