Job summary

The Delicatessen - Phoenix is seeking passionate Line Cooks to join a high-energy, chef-driven kitchen where teamwork and quality matter every shift. You will set up stations, prepare menu items, and work with executive chefs to ensure fast, consistent, high-quality plates for guests.

Ideal candidates have prior line cook or prep cook experience, understand cooking techniques, and can thrive in a busy environment. Culinary training is a plus; health benefits are provided for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Previous cooking experience required, including line cook, prep cook, or restaurant kitchen experience.
• Strong understanding of cooking techniques, ingredients, kitchen equipment, and procedures.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently in a high-volume environment.
• Strong attention to detail and consistency.
• Reliable, professional, and team-oriented mindset.
• Ability to follow direction and communicate effectively.
• Culinary school training is a plus, but not required.
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Current Food Handler card.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stock stations with all necessary ingredients and supplies.
• Prepare food for service including chopping, prepping, portioning, and sauce preparation.
• Cook menu items to exact chef specifications.
• Work closely with the Executive Chef and Sous Chefs during service.
• Ensure dishes are executed with speed, consistency, and quality.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation throughout shifts.
• Properly store and rotate inventory.
• Follow all food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety standards.
• Maintain a positive and professional attitude with teammates and guests.
