Job Title: Line Cook

Department: Food and Beverage

Position Status: Full-Time Year-Round

Reports To: Director of Food and Beverage

FLSA Status: Non-Exempt

Job Summary

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and serving food to guests, including both à la carte and buffet service.

Essential Functions
  • Prepare food ingredients for each shift
  • Maintain kitchen equipment functionality
  • Keep a clean, organized, and hazard-free workspace
  • Follow food safety standards
  • Oversee food display appearance and quality
  • Manage inventory of food items
Qualifications
  • Minimum two years of cooking experience
  • Ability to prepare food correctly, e.g., eggs cooked to order
  • Availability to work days, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Effective listening, speaking, and writing skills
  • Self-motivated, organized, quick, and even-tempered
  • Attention to detail
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Physical ability to extend arms, bend, stoop, and lift up to 50 lbs
Work Environment

Work involves exposure to open flames, hot items, and sharp utensils. Mostly indoors, with some outdoor work in various weather conditions, including snow, cold, wind, and rain.
