Position Overview

As a Line Cook at Bar Louie, your primary focus is ensuring every guest feels safe and satisfied with the 'gastrogrub' you prepare. You have a hospitality gene, care about people, and maintain a fun yet professional style. You are confident but humble. Your commitment to cleanliness, recipe adherence, presentation, and speed is exceptional. You enjoy being busy, take pride in your work, and are willing to assist others, including running dish duty, stocking supplies, or bussing tables. Your genuine care helps grow our business and keeps guests returning for their favorites.

Position Responsibilities
  • Exemplify Bar Louie's Mission, Vision, and Values daily.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, sanitation, and safety.
  • Learn the menu thoroughly to prepare and present items accurately.
  • Serve food at proper temperatures and ensure timely delivery.
  • Control costs by precise preparation.
  • Keep your station clean and organized, cleaning as you go.
  • Work independently or as part of a team, capable of all stations.
  • Follow directions and communicate effectively with management and peers.
  • Complete opening and closing duties efficiently.
  • Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Provide consistent availability and maintain attendance.
  • Work late-night shifts from 10 pm to 2 am.
Skills and Abilities
  • Effective communication with managers and team members.
  • Ability to develop positive relationships.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Memorize and prepare menu items to specifications.
  • Safely operate knives and equipment.
  • Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
  • Maintain high personal hygiene standards.
Education and Training
  • Culinary training or education preferred.
  • Knowledge of restaurant prep and cooking methods.
  • Food safety certification as required by law.
  • 3-6 months of related experience or training required.
Physical Requirements

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for extended periods, and perform duties in hot or cold environments. Frequent hand washing and safe use of knives and equipment are required. Effective communication with guests and team members is essential.
