Role Summary

Cinemark Line Cooks are central to the restaurant operation, preparing quality food in a fast-paced environment. They play a vital role in ensuring a positive movie-going experience by serving fresh, great-tasting food promptly. Candidates should be energetic, outgoing, and team-oriented, with a strong desire to pursue culinary careers.

Responsibilities

• Prepare items according to recipes and portion controls.
• Follow prep lists daily.
• Maintain cleanliness and proper storage of food in compliance with health regulations.
• Minimize food waste and theft through adherence to policies.
• Collaborate with servers to ensure accurate orders.
• Clean preparation areas and equipment after use, excluding pizza dough sheeter disassembly if under 18.
• Open or close workstations as scheduled.
• Wear proper Cinemark culinary attire to maintain a professional image.
• Follow SOPs, safety, sanitation, and preventative maintenance protocols.
• Sanitize high-contact areas regularly.
• Use PPE appropriately.
• Monitor safety/security issues and report to management.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 16.
• Complete basic food handling training and obtain required certifications or permits.
• For those working with alcohol, complete Safe Alcohol Service training.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Consistent attendance.
• Energetic, friendly attitude and excellent guest service skills.
• Effective communication skills in English.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.
• Follow directions and respond quickly.

Physical and Environmental Requirements

• Frequent bending, kneeling, lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Standing, walking, reaching for extended periods.
• Moderate to high noise levels.
