Job summary

SPIRE Hospitality's DoubleTree by Hilton Nashville Downtown is seeking a Line Cook to craft dishes per recipes or guest specifications and support a fast-paced kitchen team.

You will ensure proper storage, control portions, minimize waste, monitor inventory, and keep refrigeration and work areas clean and safe. This is a full-time role at a downtown Nashville hotel with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High-school diploma or equivalent.
• Completion of a culinary or apprenticeship program preferred.
• Managers Food Handlers Certification required.
• Minimum of 1 year cook experience in a hotel preferred.
• Minimum of 1 year cook experience in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Craft dishes according to standard recipes or guest specifications.
• Ensure meticulous product storage and precise portion control.
• Minimize spoilage and waste through effective product rotation.
• Monitor food, produce, and cooking supply levels and facilitate timely reordering.
• Maintain clean and functional refrigeration, storage, and work areas.

Education

Line Cook – DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Nashville Downtown

We are located in downtown Nashville, five minutes walk from the row of honky-tonks and bars on Broadway, and close to major attractions such as Ryman Auditorium, Bridgestone Arena, and the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum. The hotel features live music on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights at our Fourth and U restaurant and bar. 343 rooms, full-service Starbucks, 15,000 sq. ft. event space.
