GreatHorse, LLC in Hampden, Massachusetts, is seeking a Line Cook to manage daily station prep and efficient cooking according to the Executive Chef. You will present dishes with proper plating and coordinate item completion.

The role requires physical stamina, adaptability to fast-paced conditions, and teamwork across shifts including weekends. Prior line cook experience is a plus; safety and quality are essential in this private club setting.

Qualifications

• Previous work experience as a line cook in a restaurant/club is a plus.
• Physical ability and stamina to carry heavy trays and stand for long hours.
• Availability to work various shifts, including weekends.
• Multi-tasking abilities
• Good oral communication skills
• Ability to remain calm and professional in a fast-paced work environment.
• Must be able to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Have a good attitude and participate as a member of the team.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsabilités

• Be efficient in preparing stocks, soups, sauces, sandwiches, salads, and sauteed items.
• Prepare butcher and cook meat, poultry, fish, and seafood.
• Wash, peel, cut, and seed fruits and vegetables to prepare them for consumption.
• Understand banquet/function prep and execution.
• Maintains reasonable, regular, punctual attendance consistent with Company policies, the ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards.
• Adapts to changing duties, as required, based on business needs.

Position Summary:

The Line Cook is responsible for managing the daily preparation of food items for a station or a specific area in the kitchen. The Line Cook is also responsible for cooking and placing all food orders efficiently and attractively according to the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef.
