Job summary

Major Food Group is seeking a Line Cook for Carbone Dallas in the Dallas Design District. This full-time role offers a competitive hourly salary ranging from $19.00 to $23.00, with opportunities for growth within a premier Italian-American venue.

Responsibilities include setting up and stocking stations, preparing ingredients, cooking items in coordination with the kitchen team, and maintaining high quality and timely service. Minimum 2 years in high-volume or fine dining preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required.
• Culinary diploma or equivalent in experience strongly preferred
• Strong communication skills a must

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef's instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion

Major Food Group is looking for talented Line Cooks to join our culinary team atCarbone in the Dallas Design District!

Carbone is an Italian-American restaurant created by Mario Carbone, Rich Torrisi and Jeff Zalaznick. The restaurant pays homage to the essence of the great Italian-American restaurants of mid-20th century New York. The food nods to that history, but takes its culinary cues from the great talents and techniques of the present and future. Familiar dishes like Seafood Salad, Linguini Vongole, Lobster Fra Diavolo, Chicken Scarpariello and Veal Parmesan elevated to a new level.

RESPONSIBILITIES
