Job summary

Iowa Athletic Club, a sports bar and made-from-scratch restaurant in Iowa River Landing, is seeking a Front of House Manager to lead our busy FOH operation and build a strong, energized team.

You will train and develop hosts, servers, and bartenders, coach and support staff on service standards, and partner with the GM on hiring and daily restaurant needs, ensuring memorable guest experiences on evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of FOH management or supervisory experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older
• ServSafe certification required within 30 days of hire
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
• Ability to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
• Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Responsibilities

• Lead the FOH team and help create a great shift for both guests and employees
• Train and onboard new FOH team members, making sure they feel prepared and confident in their roles
• Coach and develop hosts, servers, and bartenders through hands-on feedback and support
• Lead pre-shift meetings, menu tastings, and ongoing training to keep the team sharp and consistent
• Stay active on the floor, jumping in to host, serve, bartend, or expo when the team needs help
• Keep the restaurant clean, organized, safe, and ready for guests
• Connect with guests, handle concerns, and help create memorable experiences
• Partner with the GM and AGM on hiring, staffing, training, and the day-to-day needs of the restaurant
• Perform other duties as assigned

Iowa Athletic Club, a sports bar and made-from-scratch restaurant located in the Iowa River Landing next to Xtream Arena, is looking for a Front of House Manager to join our team.

We're looking for an experienced, professional leader who is passionate about hospitality, developing people, and creating a great guest experience. This is a great opportunity for someone who knows how to lead a busy front-of-house operation, build a strong team, and bring positive energy to every shift.

Compensation:

$53,000 - $56,000 per year, based on experience.

Schedule:

This is a full-time exempt position, shifts include evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Full-time Benefits:

Available for all full-time employees who work 30 hours per week or more on average.
