Job summary

Iowa's premier entertainment destination is seeking a line cook to join our kitchen staff. You will contribute to the preparation, production, and presentation of high-quality meals for guests, working with a diverse and energetic team.

Shift and days off are varied, with pay at $20/hour, and compensation can be daily, weekly, or biweekly. Prior food service experience is preferred; ability to stand for long periods is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year experience in food service preparation preferred.
• Must be able to stand and walk for long periods and handle repetitive reaching and bending.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push a cart up to 150 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Preparation, production, and presentation of food items for banquets and dining establishments.
• Operation of standard commercial kitchen equipment.
• Set up, cleaning, sanitation, and closing of workstations and kitchen.
• Accurate testing of prepared food items to ensure proper temperature and quality.
• Labeling and dating products to ensure food safety and quality.
• General cleaning duties of area and equipment.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent preferred. One year experience in food service preparation preferred. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time and have the ability to withstand repetitive reaching and bending. Responsible handling of hot equipment, sharp objects, and navigating wet floors required. Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push a cart weighing up to 150 lbs. required. Ability to work weekends, holidays, and varied hours required.
