At SSP America, our Line Cooks play a vital role in food preparation and kitchen setup. Responsibilities include:

• Following recipes and practicing portion control to prepare, garnish, and present dishes.
• Maintaining proper kitchen/station setup daily.
• Requisitioning and stocking food, paper products, and condiments.
• Handling, storing, and rotating products properly.
• Setting up, maintaining, cleaning, and breaking down machinery and equipment.
• Maintaining stock, cutting, and storing perishables daily to ensure quality.
• Completing opening, ongoing, and closing checklists.
• Ensuring the quality of served products.
• Performing cleaning tasks using standard products to meet health standards.
• Performing other duties as assigned.

Skills:

• At least one year of experience in food service.
• High school diploma preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, speak, and understand English for communication and order taking.
• Basic mathematical skills.
• Food handler's permit, as required by law.
• Brand certification, as required.
• Ability to stand and work in confined spaces for extended periods.
