Job summary

Forno Osteria & Bar Montgomery is seeking a Line Cook to prepare and cook high-quality Italian dishes in a fast-paced Cincinnati kitchen. You will work closely with the Chef de Cuisine and Sous Chef, maintaining authentic standards and ensuring every plate meets presentation quality.

Responsibilities include mise en place, handling fresh ingredients like handmade pasta, maintaining clean stations, and adhering to food safety guidelines while supporting the team during busy service periods.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in a full-service restaurant kitchen preferred.
• Knowledge of cooking techniques, ingredients, and kitchen equipment.
• Strong knife skills and ability to work with various cooking methods.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong teamwork, communication, and time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
• Work with fresh ingredients, including handmade pasta and traditional Italian dishes.
• Set up and stock stations with all necessary supplies before service (mise en place).
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of workstations and kitchen equipment.
• Follow food safety, sanitation, and hygiene standards at all times.
• Coordinate with other cooks and kitchen staff to ensure timely service.
• Assist with food prep, portioning, and inventory rotation.
• Ensure dishes meet restaurant quality and presentation standards before leaving the kitchen.
• Complete opening and closing duties, including cleaning and organizing storage areas.
• Support and assist other team members during busy service periods.
