Job summary

Turning Point Restaurants is seeking enthusiastic individuals to join our daytime kitchen team. You will help with proper food handling, meal prep, and cooking for a fast-paced breakfast, brunch, and lunch operation.

We value team players, offer a training program, flexible scheduling, and opportunities to transfer between locations. Bilingual English/Spanish speakers supported; prior restaurant experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Prior restaurant experience is preferred.
• Skilled with the use of cookware needed for the position.
• Able to lift, carry, or pull objects that may be heavy.
• Ability to read in English OR Español and follow recipes and safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Proper food handling and storage.
• Preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking.
• Accurately and efficiently cooking food.
• Read and follow recipes and guidelines in English or Español.
• Learn and work across all kitchen stations including prep and dishwashing.
• Support managers in daily kitchen operations.

Responsibilities include (but not limited to):

• Proper food handling and storage


• Preparing and portioning food products prior to cooking


• Accurately and efficiently cooking food


• Ability to read in English OR Español and following all recipes, portions, guidelines, sanitation, and basic safety to produce food according to the Turning Point and Health Department guidelines


• We have many positions in our kitchens. You will be expected to learn and work in all areas. This includes the three cooking stations, food prep and dishwashing positions


• Our managers will never ask you to do something they would not do themselves
