Job summary

Hawksmoor Boston is seeking an experienced Line Cook to help open our third U.S. restaurant. You will play a key role in the smooth operation of the kitchen, maintaining Hawksmoor’s high food quality and standards.

Qualifications

  • Line cook experience in a fast-paced kitchen
  • Knife skills and precision in food prep
  • Knowledge of Hawksmoor standards and following recipes
  • Food safety and proper storage awareness
  • Ability to work as part of a team in a high-volume setting

Responsibilities

  • Competently run your kitchen station, with a basic understanding of all other sections.
  • Demonstrate competent knife skills, including fish and meat preparation.
  • Understand what is required to meet Hawksmoor standards and consistently follow recipes.
  • Plate dishes accurately and consistently to Hawksmoor standards.
  • Show a basic knowledge of food products and quality, including correct storage and shelf life.
  • Execute service for larger groups, including PDR and large parties.
  • Show genuine care for delivering an excellent guest experience
  • Consistently deliver the highest standards of dishes from our kitchen station.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of Hawksmoor beef, suppliers, and sourcing.

So, after twenty years of building Hawksmoor in the UK, Ireland, Chicago, and New York, we've finally set our sights on opening here in fall, 2026.

So, after twenty years of building Hawksmoor in the UK, Ireland, Chicago, and New York, we've finally set our sights on opening here in fall, 2026.
In Fort Point, we've found a home that reminds us of where Hawksmoor began two decades ago – the character, community and creativity.
At 15 Necco Street (Platinum LEED-certified – a natural fit for our commitment to sustainability and our B-Corp values), we'll have space for 200+ guests, private dining and event spaces, a bar program recognized by the James Beard Foundation and Tales of the Cocktail, sweeping views across Fort Point Channel, and an outdoor terrace made for long lunches and celebratory dinners.

We're looking for experienced Line Cooks to join our team and help us open our third US restaurant
As a Hawksmoor Line Cook, you play a key role in the smooth and successful operation of the restaurant. You are responsible for consistently maintaining Hawksmoor’s food quality and standards while working closely with the wider culinary team to deliver exceptional dishes and service. Guest Experience
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete all required training and consistently uphold hygiene standards.
  • Follow opening and closing checklists accurately and consistently.
  • Take responsibility for the clean, efficient running of your station.
Operational Standards
  • Manage timeeffectivelyto support team priorities anddailyoperational needs.
  • Maintain good product rotation and understand par levels for service requirements.
  • Recognize howerrorsaffect both guest experience andthe wider business.
  • Compilenon-consumableorders for management asrequired.
  • Understandsandfollow stock rotationand storage procedures.
  • Actively work to reduce waste and improve efficiency in the kitchen.
  • Comply with lateness and absence policies.

Physical and Mental Demands
  • Mobility:Must be able to move continuously around the dining room, kitchen, and bar areas during the shift.
  • Lifting & Carrying:Occasionally lifts and carries trays, plates, and items weighing up to ~ 25 to 30 lbs.
  • Communication:Ability to clearly and effectively communicate with guests, kitchen staff, and management.
  • Cognitive:Ability to process guest requests, manage multiple tables simultaneously, and prioritize tasks efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work Environment:While performing the duties of this position, the employee is regularly exposed to moderate to loud noise levels consistent with a high-volume restaurant. The pace is fast and requires multi-tasking under pressure.
