Job summary

Major Food Group LLC is hiring Line Cooks for Contessa atop The Newbury Boston in Boston, MA. The role offers $20.00 to $22.00 hourly, full-time scheduling, and a fast-paced fine dining environment.

Responsibilities include station setup, food preparation, cooking in collaboration with kitchen staff, following chef instructions, and ensuring timely, high-quality plates. Benefits include progressive PTO and referral incentives.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills a must.
• Team‑oriented and positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies.
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces).
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff.
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions.
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food.
• Stock inventory appropriately.
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion.

Contessa is the crown jewel of dining atop one of Boston’s most glamorous hotels, The Newbury Boston. Delightfully re-imagined, this rooftop destination is inspired by the old-world resorts of Europe and the lasting estates of Italy where classic grand trattoria cuisine awaits.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
