Job summary

Major Food Group LLC in New York, NY is hiring a Line Cook to join Dirty French, a bistro located in Ludlow Hotel on Manhattan’s Lower East Side.

The role involves set‑up and stocking of stations, food preparation, and cooking in collaboration with the kitchen team, following executive or sous chef’s instructions. Full‑time shifts (AM/PM) with a comprehensive benefits package are offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of experience in high volume and fine dining restaurants
• Full time - both AM and PM shifts available
• Culinary diploma or equivalent preferred
• Team-oriented and positive attitude
• Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

• Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
• Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
• Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
• Answer, report and follow executive or sous chef’s instructions
• Clean up station and take care of leftover food
• Stock inventory appropriately
• Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
