Job summary

Mellow Mushroom is seeking a fearless Grill Cook who can handle high temperatures, special orders, and Friday night rushes with composure. You will grill, prepare, and plate dishes while translating fresh ingredients into delicious, mouth-watering meals.

Your ability to coordinate with the team will help deliver exactly what guests ask for, and a bit more. As part of the kitchen team, you will set up stations, maintain sanitation, monitor stock, and keep the area running smoothly.

Qualifications

• Experience in grill cooking in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Ability to coordinate with kitchen team to deliver orders on time.
• Awareness of kitchen safety and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Mellow Mushroom menu; be the master of slicing, chopping, and grilling
• Possess impeccable sense of timing; coordinating with other kitchen team members to ensure every table and guest receive orders in a timely fashion
• Set up workstations with ingredients and cooking equipment; help kitchen staff when requested
• Help Mellow Mushroom maintain a sanitized, safe, and orderly environment in the kitchen
• Monitor stock, refill necessary items, and place orders for shortages
• Be comfortable standing for long periods and lifting heavy items while keeping a positive attitude
