Job summary

Astemo, Ltd. is seeking a Line Assist to oversee the production line, coordinate with Group Leads, and ensure safe, efficient operations. You will monitor machine and manpower, document downtime, and coach operators in procedures to build quality products.

The role requires leadership, 3 years of manufacturing experience, and familiarity with CNC machining and measurements. Expect a physical, hands-on environment with 5S, PPE, and safety emphasis.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated leadership skills required.
• Three (3) years manufacturing experience with preference in equipment set up, CNC machining, measurements, and calculations.

Responsibilities

• Maintain control over the production line (machine and manpower).
• Escalate problems to the Group Lead and document downtime appropriately.
• Ensure daily production activities are communicated to Group Leads and update logs.
• Assist maintenance and process teams with problem resolution and repairs.
• Ensure training for all operators and enforce 5S, PPE, and safety procedures.
• Support start-up/shutdown procedures and address bottlenecks to meet goals.
