Zalat Line Coach

Locations: Dallas, Houston, Austin, TX

Job Type: Full Time or Part Time, Full Time Preferred

Job Summary

The Line Coach is responsible for coaching and leading the day‑to‑day operational and financial excellence of Zalat by being a coach and a leader to peers, supporting decision‑making that promotes operational excellence and embodies Customer 4 Life Service (C4LS).

Responsibilities

• Manage the cook line to achieve highest levels of safety, cleanliness, quality, and speed.
• Learn and complete operational support functions (purchasing, receiving, accounting processes, inventory) to ensure operational excellence and high financial performance.
• Coach and lead shift opening and closing procedures to maintain facilities and equipment to the highest standards.
• Perform daily tasks such as Jolt list, PECs, and other daily management tasks.
• Serve as a role model for all policies and procedures, guiding the team to follow them.

Requirements

• At least one year of supervisory experience, either at Zalat or elsewhere.
• Completion of at least two weeks of Line Coach training at a Certified Training location and signed off by a Certified Training Restaurant (CTR).
• Successfully completed all Opus Courses and verified by Director of Training or Training Coordinator.
• Hold a valid Food Manager Safety Certification.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to manage and adhere to schedules.
• Successful completion of a mandatory background check.

Compensation

Pay range will follow the non‑exempt wage assigned for each region.
