Job summary

Wright Tree Service in Illinois is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees near power lines using climbing gear and ground tools. The role emphasizes safety and adherence to OSHA standards while working around energized conductors.

Qualifications

• Experience in tree trimming or clearing crews (3 months) or completed skills assessments.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, CPR/First-Aid within 90 days of hire.
• Must understand safety standards and work near energized conductors.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs.
• Trim, remove or fell trees using climbing equipment and ground tools.
• Work aloft to cut branches and lower them with rigging lines.
• Use ground tools to fell trees and split into pieces.
• Follow safety rules near energized lines and supervise non-qualified staff when qualified.
• Apply herbicides and maintain records; comply with OSHA and company policies.
