Job summary

Wright Tree Service is seeking a Tree Trimmer to prune and remove trees, limbs, and shrubs away from power lines. The role involves climbing with specialized equipment and working near energized lines under supervision, while ensuring tree health and proper appearance.

You will load, trim, and remove vegetation using ground tools and rigging, and perform safety checks and basic maintenance. The position requires readiness for emergency duties and adherence to company policies.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 months of experience working on tree trimming or clearing crews.
• High School diploma or equivalent preferred, but not required.
• Must have valid First-Aid and CPR cards or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
• License/credentials such as CDL may be preferred depending on division and requirements.

Responsibilities

• Load vehicles and equipment with limbs and logs not suited for wood chipping.
• Trim, remove and/or fell trees using climbing equipment and ground tools.
• Work aloft to cut branches and lower them with rigging lines.
• Set up traffic control devices to protect employees and the public.
• Perform vehicle and equipment inspections and routine maintenance.
