Job summary

Davey Tree Utility Line Clearance is offering a key opportunity as an experienced climbing Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, joining our team serving the Kinsman, OH region. You will lead a 2-5 person crew in pruning and removal for major electric utilities, ensuring safety and skillful execution of all tasks.

Responsibilities include site inspections, tool and equipment maintenance, and mentoring new employees.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work is required.
• CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Pesticide licenses/certificates preferred where required by state law.
• ISA/TCIA certifications preferred.

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal work for utility providers, prioritizing safety and skill.
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of tasks and assignments.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts, etc.).
• Mentor and train new employees on procedures and safety protocols.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced climbing Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, joining our team servicing the Kinsman, OH region.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers.Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application oftree identificationknowledgeand industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-siteinspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
