Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a tree crew in the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas. CDL holder and climbing experience are preferred, with strong focus on safety and efficiency in utility tree care.

The role involves managing 2-5 crew members, pruning and removing trees, and ensuring compliance with industry guidelines. Excellent leadership and readiness for on-site, outdoors work are essential.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors and the ability to complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Requires valid driver’s license; CDL Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement preferred or willingness to obtain.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work; pesticide licenses may be preferred by state law.
• Proactive safety training such as Davey Tree First Aid, CPR, and defensive driving courses on hire.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removing trees for major electric utility providers.
• Prune treetops, repair damaged trees, and remove broken limbs from utility lines and structures.
• Perform site inspections, plan tasks, and ensure safe, skilled execution of work.
• Maintain, prepare, and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Northwestern OH region from Findlay to Bowling Green and surrounding areas.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application oftree identificationknowledgeand industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-siteinspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license

• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
