Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Kinsman, OH is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer with CDL holder and climbing experience preferred. You will join our team servicing the Kinsman region and perform pruning and removal for major electric utilities.

Your office is outdoors, and you’ll work with a crew to safely manage trees near power lines, learning our orientation and safety programs on hire. Excellent outdoor prospects and benefits accompany this role.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver's license.
• Preferred: CDL-A or CDL-B with Air Brake Endorsement.
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work.
• Required: complete Davey Tree Orientation Program and safety courses upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Climb trees using DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems.
• Perform pruning and removal for major electric utility providers.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Operate as a crew member with ground crew and foreperson.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Trimmer, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Kinsman, OH region.

Job Duties

What You'll Do:

• Climb Trees! Davey offers both DdRT/MRS and SRT/SRS climbing systems
• Perform all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops and repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more
• Operate as an active crew member with supporting ground crew and foreperson

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver's license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver's License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement
• Preferred: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
