Davey Tree Surgery Co. in Springfield, OH is seeking an experienced Line Clearance Crew Foreman to lead a 2-5 person crew in pruning, removal and utility-line work for major electric providers.

CDL holder and climbing experience preferred, with on-site supervision and safety leadership. You will supervise job-sites, train new employees, ensure tool readiness (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts) and follow Davey safety standards.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete orientation program on hire
• Ability to complete First Aid/CPR and defensive driving courses on hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: CDL-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or related tree work
• Preferred: pesticide licenses/certificates as required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Arborist/Tree Worker/TCIA safety credentials

Responsibilities

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an experienced Line Clearance Crew Foreman/Foreperson, CDL holder and/or climbing experience preferred, joining our team servicing the Springfield, Ohio region.

Job Duties

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in performing all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully for major electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:
• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application of tree identification knowledge and industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-site inspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees
