Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service, Inc. is seeking a Groundhand to support line-clearance crews. Duties include assisting with clearing trees and branches around power lines, hoisting tools, positioning ladders, loading debris, and operating basic equipment as directed.

Traffic flagging and radio communications may be required. Travel across PA, MD, OH, VA, and WV is required; schedules are 4-10 hour days with possible overtime and storm duty. A valid driver's license or CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license or CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel across multiple states (PA, MD, OH, VA, WV).
• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks and operate basic equipment as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches near power/communication lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members; position and steady ladders.
• Load debris and trunks onto trucks; operate winch and chipper as directed.
• Flag traffic and communicate via two-way radio when required.
