Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service, Inc. is seeking a Groundhand to support crews clearing trees and branches near power and communication lines. You will hoist tools, position ladders, and assist with loading debris and branches for transport, while also flagging traffic when required on job sites across multiple states.

Travel is a core part of the role, with assignments throughout PA, MD, OH, VA, and WV. A valid driver’s license is preferred or required, and the position may include overtime during

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding tasks.
• Able to operate hand tools and equipment as directed.
• Must have reliable transportation to job sites.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members.
• Lower branches with rope or tackle; position and steady ladders.
• Saw, cut, and mulch brush; load debris onto trucks.
• Carry chainsaws, gas cans, and oil jugs.
• Flag traffic using stop/slow paddle and two-way radio.
