Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service is seeking a Groundhand to support crews clearing trees and branches near power lines. This role requires physical outdoor work and willingness to travel as needed across multiple states.

Responsibilities include hoisting tools, positioning ladders, cutting brush, loading debris and assisting with safety while working near energized lines. A valid Driver's License or CDL is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must be able to perform physically demanding outdoor work.
• Willingness to travel to multiple states as required by contract demands.
• Valid Driver's License or CDL license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with power lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members; lower branches with rope or tackle; position and steady ladders; saw and cut brush.
• Load debris and trunks onto trucks using winch; operate brush chipper; carry chainsaws, gas cans, and oil jugs.
