Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service is seeking a Groundhand to support crews by clearing trees and branches that interfere with power and communication lines. Responsibilities include hoisting tools, guiding ladders, cutting brush, and loading debris for transport.

The role requires potential travel across PA, MD, OH, VA, WV and surrounding states and a preferred CDL or valid driver's license. The job entails varied shifts with 4- to 10-hour days, and mandatory overtime including storm duty.

Qualifications

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with communication lines and electric power lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members and lower branches with rope or tackle; position and steady ladders.
• Sawing/cutting branches, loading debris, trunks and limbs for trucks (winch, chipper).
• Carry chainsaws, gas cans, and oil jugs; cut/drag/mulch brush.

Responsibilities

• Clear obstructing vegetation around power and comms lines.
• Travel to work sites across multiple states as required.
