Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service is seeking a Groundhand to support crews in clearing trees and branches that interfere with power and communications lines. The role includes hoisting tools, positioning ladders, cutting brush, and loading debris while traveling to sites across PA, MD, OH, VA, and WV.

A valid driver’s license is preferred and occasional overtime may be required. Candidates must be flexible to travel as contracts demand, with a drug-free workplace and equal opportunity employer practices in

Qualifications

• Valid driver license or CDL preferred.
• Ability to travel across multiple states.
• Must maintain physical fitness for demanding field work.
• Adherence to safety policies and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches to maintain clearance for lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members and manage debris.
• Position and steady ladders; load and unload materials from trucks.
• Cut, saw, and mulching of brush; operate chainsaws when required.
• Travel to various work sites across PA, MD, OH, VA, WV as needed.
• Flag traffic as required and communicate via two-way radio.
