Job summary

Penn Line Tree Service is seeking a Groundhand to support line clearance crews across multiple states. You will assist with clearing trees, hoisting tools, loading debris, and safely handling chainsaws and fuel while traveling as required.

The role involves physical outdoor work, occasional overtime, and travel to PA, MD, OH, VA and WV as needed. A valid driver's license is required, CDL preferred, and the company is a Drug-Free Workplace.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license required; CDL preferred.
• Willingness to travel across PA, MD, OH, VA, WV as needed.
• Ability to climb ladders and operate hand tools safely.

Responsibilities

• Assist crews in clearing trees and branches interfering with lines.
• Hoist tools and equipment to crew members and lower branches with rope or tackle.
• Load debris and trunks onto trucks using winch; chip brush with a chipper.
• Carry chainsaws, gas cans and oil jugs; saw and cut brush.
• Flag traffic and communicate via two-way radio; perform other duties as needed.
