Job summary

Davey Tree Surgery Co. is seeking an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson to lead a 2-5 person crew in pruning and removal for major utility providers. The role requires safety-first execution, on-site planning, and equipment operation from Harrisville to Clintonville regions.

CDL is preferred; candidates must complete orientation and First Aid/CPR and defensive driving courses upon hire. ISA certifications are highly regarded for advancement within this long-standing, employee-owned

Qualifications

• Loves outdoors and outdoor work.
• Must have valid driver's license; CDL preferred.
• Complete Davey orientation, and First Aid/CPR and defensive driving on hire.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work required.
• Preferred pesticide licenses and state-specific certifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2-5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for utility work.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs; clear around lines.
• Inspect job-sites and plan tasks for safety and efficiency.
• Maintain and operate chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and related gear.
• Mentor and train new employees.

Position Overview

Davey Utility Line Clearance, a division of The Davey Tree Expert Company, is pleased to offer a key opportunity as an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson, CDL preferred, joining a team working from the Harrisville PA to Clintonville PA regions.

Job Duties

Lead a2-5 person treecrew inperforming all aspects of tree pruning and removal services safely and skillfully formajor electric utility providers. Including but not limited to:

• Pruning treetops, repairing damaged trees by trimming or removal
• Removing broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other objects
• Application oftree identificationknowledgeand industry pruning guidelines
• Perform job-siteinspections with proper planning and execution of assigned work and tasks
• Properly maintain, prepare and operate all tools and equipment including, chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts and more.
• Mentor and train new employees

Qualifications

What We're Seeking:

• Love of the outdoors
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree Trimmer Orientation Program upon hire
• Ability to complete the Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Required: valid driver’s license
• Preferred: Commercial Driver’s License-Class A or B with Air Brake Endorsement or willingness to obtain
• Required: line clearance experience or other related tree work
• Preferred: relevant pesticide and related licenses and certificates, if required by state law
• Preferred: ISA Certified Arborist®, ISA Certified Tree Worker®, and/or TCIA Certified Tree Care Safety Professional
