Davey Tree Surgery Co. in the Akron, OH region seeks an experienced Line Clearance Manual Crew Foreman/Foreperson with CDL and climbing experience preferred to join our team servicing Greater Akron. Responsibilities include pruning, removing limbs, planning jobs, and mentoring staff.

This is a full-time, on-site position with opportunities for growth and competitive hourly pay based on experience and qualifications. Comprehensive benefits are available from day one.

Qualifications

• Must love the outdoors and be willing to complete Davey Tree Orientation upon hire.
• Willing to take Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving courses on hire.
• Must have valid driver’s license; CDL with air brake is preferred or willing to obtain.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work required.
• Pesticide licenses and related certificates preferred by state law where applicable.
• ISA Arborist, ISA Tree Worker, or TCIA Tree Care Safety Professional certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prune treetops and repair trees via trimming or removal.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and structures.
• Apply tree identification knowledge and pruning guidelines.
• Conduct job-site inspections with planning and proper execution.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment (chainsaws, chippers, aerial lifts).
• Mentor and train new employees.
