Job summary

The Davey Tree Surgery Company is seeking a Foreman | Foreperson in the Cleveland area to direct a crew performing utility line clearance and arboricultural care. You will plan, supervise, and execute tasks with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.

You will mentor crew members, operate equipment, and ensure compliance with Davey safety standards while delivering outstanding service to our clients in Northeast Ohio. Outdoor work is a defining aspect of this role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Driver’s license required; CDL preferred but not required.
• Love of the outdoors and willingness to learn the Davey safety culture.
• Complete Davey Tree orientation and safety courses on hire.
• Preferred certifications: ISA/TCIA credentials.

Responsibilities

• Lead a crew in arboricultural care and safety.
• Prune, thin, and remove deadwood from trees as part of site work.
• Install cables, bracing and lightning protection where needed.
• Mentor crew members through the Davey Career Development Program.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment including saws and lifts.
