Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is hiring an Experienced Line Clearance Foreman/Foreperson (CDL preferred) to service the Guernsey and Tuscarawas County regions in Ohio, including Cambridge, Dover, and New Philadelphia.

You will lead a crew in pruning and removing trees for major electric utilities, ensuring safety and efficiency on every job. CDL preferred, first aid/CPR, and safety training are part of the role.

Qualifications

• Must be willing to complete the Davey Tree Orientation Program on hire.
• Valid driver’s license required; CDL preferred.
• Line clearance experience or related tree work preferred.
• Relevant pesticide licenses/certifications may be required by state law.

Responsibilities

• Lead a 2–5 person tree crew in pruning and removal for major electric utilities.
• Prune treetops and remove damaged limbs while ensuring safety and quality.
• Remove broken limbs from utility lines, roofs, and other structures.
• Plan and inspect job sites with proper execution of tasks.
• Maintain and operate tools and equipment including chainsaws, chippers, and aerial lifts.
• Mentor and train new employees.
