Location: Rocky Hill, CT - Fully onsite

Duration: 1 Year

The State Public Health Lab (SPHL) is implementing a new Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS). This project requires expert coordination of multiple stakeholders and workstreams.

SPHL is looking for a project manager contractor to support efforts for the LIMS project. The work will involve planning, developing, and executing a project plan to ensure state objectives are met in the given timeline. Attention to detail and focus on quality is required. Solid verbal and written communication skills required. This is a complex, high visibility project that involves multiple departments, vendors, and stakeholders.

SCOPE OF WORK:

Responsibilities:

• Oversee the planning, testing, deployment, and go-live of the new LIMS application
• Develop a comprehensive project plan, establish milestones, and track progress across cross-functional teams
• Collaborate with vendor project management team to ensure tasks and resources are properly aligned with objectives
• Ensure the project conforms to functional, budgetary, regulatory, and timeline goals
• Provide risk management and mitigation strategies for project roadblocks
• Prepare and present regular project progress reports to stakeholders

Qualifications / Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, science, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management activities for the Pharmaceutical, Biotechnology, or Healthcare Industry specializing in LIMS system implementation.
