Job summary

KBI Biopharma, Durham, NC, is seeking a LIMS Administrator to serve as the primary system admin for the laboratory's LIMS platform. You will support users, configure workflows, develop reports, and drive improvement initiatives to ensure compliant, efficient operations.

Responsibilities cover system development, data management, and analytics, with liaison to IT for validations, upgrades, and instrument interfaces. A Bachelor's degree and 3–5 years' LIS experience are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Biological Sciences, Information Systems, or a related field; equivalent experience may be considered.
• 3 to 5 years of experience supporting laboratory information systems and/or laboratory operations.
• Basic system administration experience.
• Knowledge of databases and SQL query development.
• Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for LIMS users and troubleshoot system-related issues.
• Configure and maintain tests, specifications, methods, templates, and other system master data.
• Deliver user training and guidance on LIMS functionality and best practices.
• Respond to user inquiries and resolve system-related problems in a timely manner.
• Lead laboratory process improvement initiatives.
• Design, develop, and maintain LIMS reports and dashboards.
• Configure system pages, workflows, and functionality enhancements.
• Implement and maintain laboratory instrument interfaces with LIMS.
• Support implementation and maintenance of statistical quality control and trending tools.
• Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders on system upgrades, validation activities, and enhancement projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve laboratory data management, efficiency, and compliance.
• Manage laboratory information and data stored within LIMS.
• Generate reports and perform data analysis to support laboratory operations.
• Support statistical analysis, interpretation of trends, and investigations.
• Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and compliance with applicable regulatory requirements.
