Job summary

The Milwaukee Public Museum is seeking 2 Part-time Visitor Services Representatives for a limited term until January 3, 2027.

The role involves assisting large families and diverse groups, guiding visitors, and ensuring a welcoming museum experience in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED is required.
  • Must have weekend and evening availability.
  • Experience in a customer service setting, especially with large groups.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Advise visitors of information concerning parking, restrooms, points of interest, and general museum information.
  • Assist guests entering and exiting the Puelicher Butterfly Vivarium, ensuring safety and adherence to museum policies.
  • Work after-hours events and assist the Event Coordinator with facilitation of internal and external events.
  • Manage and adhere to procedures for lost and found items, acceptance of items, and visitors' expectations for museum visits.
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service and professional appearance.

Job description

The Milwaukee Public Museum is looking for 2 Part-time I Visitor Services Representatives to work for a Limited Term until January 3rd, 2027. This position would be an average of 24hrs/week with shift lengths between 6 to 8 hours. Visitor Services Representatives ensure the highest quality customer service, satisfaction, and safety for Museum visitors. They provide a welcoming atmosphere and positive experience that engages members and visitors and have the ability to handle and balance many responsibilities in a calm and efficient manner. Visitor Services Representatives are strong, energetic team players with a demonstrated ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.We need friendly, dependable, and energetic people who enjoy working with families, groups, and the general public to guarantee a positive and memorable visitor experience.
