Job summary

The Milwaukee Public Museum is seeking a part-time Visitor Services Associate to help guests with information, directions and general museum inquiries. You will assist visitors with the Butterfly Vivarium and support after-hours events, all while upholding museum policies and delivering excellent service.

The role requires weekend/evening availability, strong communication with diverse groups, and the ability to work independently or in a team.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Must have weekend and evening availability.
  • Experience in a customer service setting, particularly with large groups.
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred.
  • Ability to use technical tools and systems such as radios and paging systems.
  • Must enjoy speaking with large and small groups effectively in a polite and professional manner.
  • Requires independent evaluations & decision based upon knowledge and training to problem-solve in varied situations.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to bend, stoop, and kneel as well as stand and walk for 80% of your shift.

Salary Range: $15.00 Hourly
