Job summary

Jobot is seeking a newly created asset management leader to oversee a growing LIHTC portfolio in the Minneapolis/Twin Cities area. This on-site role offers a fast pace, direct mentorship from a hands-on Director of Asset Management, and a clear path to building and leading a team as the portfolio scales.

You will own asset management plans, monitor lease-up, review budgets, and present performance to executives, with relocation required and a strong emphasis on compliance and cross-functional

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in commercial real estate, finance, or a related field.
• 7+ years of asset management experience.
• Meaningful LIHTC experience including compliance exposure.
• Proficient Excel; able to learn new systems quickly.
• Strong financial analysis, forecasting, and reporting skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability in a managerial capacity.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Fully on-site; minimal travel.

Responsibilities

• Develop and own asset management plans for a growing LIHTC portfolio.
• Monitor lease-up of LIHTC properties, ensuring compliance with proforma and regulations.
• Coordinate and conduct periodic site inspections (internal and third-party).
• Review and approve annual operating budgets delivered to project partners on time.
• Monitor financial performance against budget and proforma.
• Ensure projects hit milestones — equity installments, loan earn-outs, tax credit testing.
• Lead cross-functional critical path meetings for underperforming assets.
• Present portfolio condition monthly to executives and senior leadership.
• Partner with Capital Planning on lifecycle capital plans and budgeting variances.
• Support responses to governmental, equity, and lending inquiries.
• Manage property insurance for LIHTC portfolio.
