Job summary

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) Houston office seeks a hands-on Lightning Protection Technician to inspect, install, and retrofit protection systems on commercial facilities. You will work with project managers, engineers, and field crews to ensure quality installations and safe operation.

This role emphasizes outdoors work, problem solving, and learning advanced protection techniques with potential growth into lead field roles. Valid driver's license and willingness to travel are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; college degree not required.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
• Experience with common hand and power tools and field work.
• Team player with safety‑oriented mindset.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, install, repair, and retrofit lightning protection components.
• Assist with layout using project drawings and field conditions.
• Use hand and power tools and perform continuity testing and measurements.
• Work safely on rooftops and travel to project sites as needed.
• Document field conditions, take photographs, and support reports.
